We are seeking top notch volunteers for our 6th National Asian American Theater Conference and Festival (ConFest), hosted in Chicago this year from August 13-18. ConFest will take place in a multiple locations throughout the Lincoln Park neighborhood, with the majority of shows and events held at The Theatre School at DePaul University and Victory Gardens Theater.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to fulfill several duties from greeting to bag stuffing to being artist liaisons to providing tech needs, and more. Volunteers are needed between Sunday, August 12 and Saturday, August 18.
ConFest is a gathering of the nation’s leading Asian American theater artists and administrators featuring full production performances and staged readings as well as panels, plenaries, breakout sessions, workshops, happy hours, and more. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, future collaborators, potential co-workers, and learn about the successes and challenges facing Asian American theater artists today. Read more about this year’s theme, Revolutionary Acts, and check out the full lineup of programming.
Volunteers who commit more than 10 hours will receive a full complimentary pass to ConFest, including entry to the opening night party and all Festival shows and new play readings. Volunteers who work less than 10 hours receive entry to the opening party and all volunteers are entered into a special volunteer-only raffle with prizes that include tickets to the Joffrey Ballet, yoga class passes, and a bicycle. We need and value any amount of time you can contribute.
