YBCA Forum Two Nights Only
Award-winning actor, writer, and director Roger Guenveur Smith (A Huey P. Newton Story, Frederick Douglass Now) teams up with the diversely talented cast of San Francisco-based theater ensemble Campo Santo to create the world premiere of their new performance piece, Casa de Spirits.
The neon glow of Casa de Spirits is the last light left, illuminating the movers and shakers of Campo Santo who get ritual and tribal — hitting the bottle, the book of revelation, and the mic. The piece uses poetic imagery and references events and moments, sifting through a history of a place in the aftermath and end of time. In one act.
