New Directions

Over the course of ten days in Los Angeles, the 2011 National Asian American Theater Conference and Festival (ConFest) marked the first year that CAATA presented a combined Conference and Festival together. The planning committee chose the theme New Directions to highlight the important role that the new generation of Asian American theater artists and practitioners were taking within the national theater landscape.
The 2011 ConFest was co-hosted by East West Players, the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, The National Center for the Preservation of Democracy, and Inner-City Arts.
