kt shorb is a director, writer, performer and Producing Artistic Director of the Austin-based theatre troupe, Generic Ensemble Company. Directorial work includes: Carmen, a devised all-Latinx show based on the Bizet opera; 893|Ya-Ku-Za; Scheherazade; The Mikado: Reclaimed; Robin Hood: An Elegy; Radio Kaduna; and A Tortoise Walks Majestically on Window Ledges. They are pursuing a PhD in Performance as Public Practice at the University of Texas at Austin.
