2019 CAATA Executive Officer Appointments

Happy New Year to CAATA members and supporters!

After a landmark 2018 with a national conference and festival in Chicago, the launch of a new membership program, and a coalition building effort with other national theaters of color, CAATA moves into 2019 with a new slate of executive officers and eyes towards an exciting, yet-to-be announced ConFest 2020.

With the resignation of former Theater Mu Artistic Director Randy Reyes as CAATA Board President, we are pleased to announce a new executive slate:

Victor Malana Maog, Artistic Director of Second Generation Productions (New York City), is the newly appointed Board President.

Leilani Chan, Founding Artistic Director of TeAda Productions (Los Angeles), is Vice President.

Roger Tang, Executive Director of Pork Filled Productions (Seattle), is Secretary.

Tisa Chang, Founding Artistic/Producing Director of Pan Asian Repertory Theatre (NYC), and Joan Osato, Producing Director of Youth Speaks (San Francisco), are Co-Treasurers.

Looking ahead, CAATA’s Board of Directors will take our own steps towards restorative justice, re-affirming our core values and commit to our member artists, theaters, and larger fields’ development of policies and practices pertaining to conduct, HR training and protocols, and a greater unification and leadership through our art form.

Sincerely,

The CAATA Team
